Wearing the No6 shirt, Bobby Moore made his West Ham United debut on Monday 08 September 1958 against Manchester United. West Ham won 3-2 in front of 35,672 at Upton Park with goals scored by John Smith, John Dick and Malcolm Musgrove. Between 1958 and 1974 Bobby Moore played 643 games, scoring 27 goals for West Ham, in the Football League, FA Cup, Football League Cup, European Cup Winners Cup and Charity Shield. He captained West Ham's 1964 FA Cup and 1965 European Cup Winners Cup winning teams, and in 1966, he Captained England's World Cup winning team.
