West Ham beat holders Manchester United 3-1 in the semi-final at Hillsborough and came from behind twice, to triumph 3-2 against Preston in the final at Wembley, with goals scored by John Sissons, Geoff Hurst and, in the 90^th minute, Ronnie Boyce.
